Speaking at the HR Tech Summit in Saudi Arabia was a fantastic experience, especially as I shared insights on The Happiness Factor and the tangible impact of focusing on employee well-being. Both for the culture but incredibly so for profitability! The returns are 10 fold.
One key takeaway was that even small, consistent check-ins can create a huge difference. Simple actions, like regular check-ins and gratitude practices, can boost happiness and productivity, proving that a 1% change can have massive effects across an organization.
I also discussed the power of Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS). This tool is actionable, straightforward, and incredibly effective β but only if leaders are willing to act swiftly on feedback. Listening without taking feedback personally is essential; it lets us respond meaningfully and address areas that matter most to employees.
A sign that I'm on the right track happened at the airport after the summit. A stranger, out of nowhere, asked, βAre you happy?β β a reminder from the universe of how vital happiness is, not just in life but in every workplace. The exchange with the stranger created a spark, smile exchange and a moment of reflection. Emotional contagion in action.
Small changes, quick actions, and true listening can redefine workplace culture and profitability.
